We hope that you absolutely LOVE your new tops, bottoms, accessories and handbags but we get it, sometimes an item isn’t love at first touch & try-on.
Below are our return policies for items purchased on our Website, our LIVE videos and in our store.
Special note from us at Gild The Lily: Returns are really hard on small businesses, and even harder on small Resale businesses. Every time a team member touches an item we have to account for the (rising) payroll dollars, from the time an item is consigned, to it being hung up, photographed, listed and its journey around the store. If its returned we start the process again, so our payroll doubles… per item returned. We also pay additional CC fees on returns (we don’t get refunded CC fees.)
We may not have all the abilities of the biggest of businesses, but we believe we can provide options that make purchasing, with the utmost confidence possible for you, as our valued customer. We’ve consulted with the best minds in the industry who helped us create these customer friendly return guidelines because above all, we want to continue offering five star customer service on the items you love and those you don’t.

We encourage all website shoppers to utilize Seel on all items that quality for Seel returns on our website.

When you want to return an item purchased from our Website and it doesn’t qualify for Seel returns or, you didn’t purchase Seel return guarantee:
- Items may be returned for STORE CREDIT up to 10 days after the package delivery date, or 10 days after the items are picked up in store. Store credit will be issued in the form of a discount code to be used toward future website purchases (due to differences in software the code is for website purchases only, not LIVE sales, developers are working to change this for the future.)
- Items must have their Gild The Lily tags in tact and if the items are NWT (new with tag) those must also be in tact. The original packing slip should accompany the return.
- Please note, some items purchased on clearance sale or end of season sale or marked as “final sale” are unable to be returned due to the ending of a selling season or end of consignment cycle.
- Due to the nature of the Resale industry providing name brands and designer pieces at low prices we hope you understand that you will need to pay for the shipping to return any items that didn’t work out for you. Please purchase Seel Return Assurance whenever possible as shipping is covered when returning items purchased with Seel Return Assurance.
Luxury Purchases
Luxury items are listed on our website under the “Luxe" Category. Almost all luxury pieces qualify for Seel Return Assurance.
- If you purchased a luxury item without Seel Return Assurance we offer a full money back guarantee on luxury pieces of $300 or more and all original Gild The Lily Tags or NWT must be in tact and all collateral must be returned in the same condition it was in, when purchased from our website.
LIVE Videos

- All sales are final.
- Men's clothing and shoes may be returned within 24 hours for a full refund with receipt and tag intact.
